Maybe like some of you reading this, my kitchen remodeling project just came out of the blue. On the spur of the moment my husband and I decided to buy a different house, remodel it for ourselves and sell our current house. We wanted to achieve all the remodeling before we moved into the “new” house. Fortunately, Jake was able to meet with me just as soon as we started on our project. Even though I did not do any preliminary planning on this project, I was able to pretty specifically communicate to Jake what I had in mind for the kitchen. Within a couple of weeks , Jake had some plans for me to look at. We met and tweaked the blue prints a little. We met a couple of days later and within an hour we had picked out finishes, hardware and counter tops.
Jake got the materials ordered and we put a date on the calendar of when he would have the cabinets built and installed. The cabinets were installed right on time. There was one counter top that had a scratch on it when it was being installed. The outside counter top company told Jake that they had “fixed” the scratch and that it looked “pretty good”. Jake didn’t even look at it or let me see it. He said and I quote, “we aren’t paying for pretty good”. That’s the kind of company he runs and the kind of company I want working for me!
